Panhandle Butterfly House opens
The Panhandle Butterfly House in Navarre now is open to the public for the summer season. The facility at 8581 Navarre Parkway is open from 10 am to 3 pm Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays through Labor Day.
Special tours for groups of 10 or more are available Monday through Wednesday.
The seasonal exhibit offers the opportunity to observe native butterfly species in all stages of their life cycles, and view their host and nectar plants. This year other types of insects also bill be on display.
The Panhandle Butterfly House is funded through donations and grants. Admission is free. donations are accepted.
